Network engineer who has shifted his focus on networking research, while recently became a founder/entrepreneur.

Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Code BGP.

Education

Computer Science degree from the Hellenic Open University, and master’s diploma in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Certifications and volunteer experience

Cisco professional certifications (CCNA\CCNP). Between 2016-2021, I represented the Open Networking Foundation as an ONOS Ambassador.

Work experience

I have worked for 15+ years as a network/systems engineer, pre-post sales support, and technical support manager for many companies and organizations, such as head of technical support of the Greek School Network for the region of Crete (a network of 1000+ schools). Prior to founding Code BGP, I worked for 5 years at the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) as a research engineer, and a member of the INSPIRE research group.

Research papers

I have co-authored 5 peer-reviewed publications in leading networking/systems conferences and journals (ACM SIGCOMM (best paper award), ACM IMC, ACM HotNets, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking). For more information please check my Google Scholar profile.

Research interests

Internet routing, Internet measurements, network security and network automation.

Trivia

I love human communication, used to be a radio show host. Sports fan, especially basketball, tennis and MMA. Enjoy reading Scandi Noir novels and watching movies with gangsters.
